A is for Amoxicillin

We knew that starting daycare would mean some extra runny noses for our kids this winter. I don't think we were prepared for a full on infectious disease nuclear attack. It's hard to say when one cold ends and the next begins. There are a few days of lessened secretions, then it all starts up again. Happily, the Gastrointestinal Black Death has only hit us once. So far.

Greta kept us up all night the other night, for the first time, I think, since she was born. Baby's first ear infection, and only four months old.

Is it unreasonable to send my kids to daycare in an antimicrobial bubble? Or to hope for Julie Andrews to come blowing in on the wind with her carpet bag?
