Beer Map

Interesting old map, displaying Per Capita Beer Consumption from 1938 and 1968. Note the obvious change in 1968, where it appears Minnesota fell behind Wisconsin. The legend in the lower left hand corner changed the per capita values from +23.0 gallons (1938) to +30.0 gallons (1968). Simply, more people in more states were drinking more beer. While Minnesota lagged behind in 1968, Wisconsin lead the way for beer consumption in the United States. On the other hand, if the map displayed per capita lutefisk consumption, I think Minnesota would reign supreme.

And when you're done, throw all that restraint to the wind and buy something exclusively, totally girl.

Small Steps or Giant Leaps

The cliche, "they grow up fast," is right on. When your in the moment (usually the state of mind Sarah and I are normally in), the improvements, such as crawling, walking, dancing, eating, etc., are very subtle and difficult to discern. Though, through media like film and photographs, these improvements are no longer dependent on time and such seem like giant leaps. This very short clip is titled small steps. In retrospect, I should have titled it Giant Leaps.
